We're Ending Support for Internet Explorer

As of January 1, 2021, Dakno will no longer be supporting Internet Explorer 11 or lower, in DaknoAdmin. What does that mean for you? If you currently use Internet Explorer to access the admin panel of your website, you may notice certain features do not work correctly. Client-facing data (i.e., your website) will continue to function as anticipated.

Avoid Slowdowns: Update Your Browser!

While we apologize for any inconveniences that might come from switching to a new browser, we can assure you it’s for the best! With an updated browser, like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, you will likely find that a lot of websites (not just ours) work better, run faster, and have a more consistent experience across your devices. We don’t want to say IE is outdated… but it’s a little outdated.

What other browsers are out there?

If you want to keep a similar browsing experience to the one you have now, try updating to Edge, Microsoft’s newer, faster version of IE. If you use other Google products, like Gmail, Drive, or Docs, we’d definitely recommend giving Chrome a try, as you can easily sync all your applications to your browser. Firefox is another solid option if you want to try out a browser with a focus on privacy.

Why We’re Ending Support

Since launching the new Edge, Microsoft itself has ended support for IE, which has left it vulnerable to bugs or malicious attacks.

Another big reason to end support is overall functionality and performance. Because IE is no longer updated by Microsoft, it’s unable to keep pace with new developments and enhancements in technology. It often requires extra time and testing of our developers to fix issues specific to IE—and that’s time that could be better used making DaknoAdmin even better!
