Logo Basics

logo elements

The Dakno logo has three variations.

The Primary and Secondary logos may be used interchangeably, but when context is unapparent, the Primary logo should be chosen first.

The symbol can be used as the logo when spacing is limited, as an icon, or as a complimentary design element (example: a watermark).

Logo Usage

logo color & variations

The Dakno logo is a single-color logo, and may only be used in Dakno Green, white, black, or gray.

On a white background, the Dakno logo should default to Dakno Green, with a gray or black logo also being acceptable alternatives. A white logo should be used on any background color other than white. Only when legibility is compromised (example: a white-washed image), may a black logo be used instead.

A Dakno Green logo should never be shown on a colored background.

Font Usage

primary font lato regular

Although Dakno’s logo font is Myriad Pro, it should never be used outside of the logo itself. Dakno’s primary font is Lato, with Lato Light, Regular, and Black being the approved styles.

Lato Light should be used as Dakno’s default font. However, when legibility is compromised (example: when the text is overlaying a complex image), Lato Regular should be used instead. Lato Black should be used most sparingly.

Complimentary Elements

icon styles & imagery

When using icons, a thin outline style is preferred. Avoid using solid icons or icons with too much detail.

Dakno embraces light and bright imagery, utilizing white space and tasteful simplicity. Dakno’s work should always be displayed in a professional “mock-up” format.
